In this cycle of seven meetings, we set out to identify critical debates and historiographical practices in light of the Capitalocene. Faced with ecological collapse and climate change, we recognize the failure of the humanist distinction between Natural History and Human History, and with it the challenge of articulating scientific domains that this way of thinking has kept apart. It is in this sense that we turn our attention to materials and to dynamics of inter-species cooperation. The aim is to observe and debate processes, but also to recognize and connect forms of knowledge that today remain isolated in specific scientific domains. To this end, the cycle brings together specialists from different fields, seeking to reflect on the role of science and its contemporary practices in the face of environmental collapse. The cycle was organized in partnership with Prof. Dr. André Dal'Bó da Costa (FAU-USP).
