DHMM

DHMM — Design, History, Matter and Memory — is a research laboratory at the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design of the University of São Paulo (FAU-USP), founded in 2024. It investigates the historiographical problems that have reshaped design history and theory since the 1980s, alongside the social, cultural and material dimensions of design practice. Through research projects, seminars, exhibitions and publications, the laboratory gathers students, researchers and partner institutions around the writing of design history and theory, with particular attention to the Brazilian context.
